Dr Ajitha Pillai, an experienced Clinical Microbiologist with an MD in Microbiology from Medical College Trivandrum, University of Kerala, boasts extensive expertise in microbiology, molecular biology, infection serology, autoimmune serology, laboratory management, and infection control. Having served as Head of the Microbiology Division at United Hospital and Sagar Hospitals in Bangalore, Dr Ajitha led the Microbiology, Immunoserology, and Molecular Biology divisions.
Dr Ajitha’s responsibilities have encompassed technical and administrative leadership, NABL certification maintenance, and collaboration on antibiotic stewardship and infection control efforts. Proficient in diverse laboratory techniques and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Dr Ajitha brings strong communication and teamwork skills to clinical microbiology.
